Dr. Salvador H. Escudero III
1942-2012
A scholar, a steadfast legislator, and a Patriot who left an imprint in the field of education and public service. The youngest Dean, at 27, of the University of the Philippines College of Veterinary Medicine. He did not stop being a veterinarian/agriculturist when he became an educator as he continued to maintain the radio program where he gave advice on agriculture. As a member of Congress, he passed bills the sought the welfare of the students and their mentors and co-founded the Foundation for Upgrading the Standard of Education (FUSE). His Patriotism is manifested in the passage of the Flag Law and in his advocacies for agriculture that stressed the imperatives for nation imbued with attributes devoutly to be wished.
